Over the Chinese New Year festive season, DTC staff have volunteered at The Food Bank Singapore.
The Food Bank Singapore is a charitable organization which aims to reduce food wastage and to end food insecurity for all. Food items donations are collected from donors, sent to The Food Bank warehouse for re-packing to be distributed to needy beneficiaries.
During our volunteering sessions, we helped to sort out the donations of food products, ensuring that the items were still fit for consumption.
To facilitate the packing of food donations, we also assisted to take inventory of the food products, classifying & packing them into the correct categories.
It was a meaningful experience for all staff at DTC, especially during this festive season, as we are able to spread the spirit of joy & care to the needy in our society.
This also serves as valuable team-bonding session for all our colleagues, as we worked together towards a common goal - values in action.
